Teach Kids Work Ethic
It’s easy for kids to become accustomed to things coming easy to them. As their parents, we find them adorable and can’t help but spoil them. We may do so not just with gifts, but by taking on complicated tasks on their behalf and/or discouraging them from a number of laborious undertakings. We rationalize this because we know that life will become more challenging as they get older. We want them to enjoy their childhood before the great big reality check of adulthood arrives in the mail. But of course, such reasoning (knowing what’s coming) also underlines the importance of preparing them for hard work, which requires that we instill within them a sturdy work ethic.
