Why Our Foundation’s Gala Evening Will be a Highlight of the Year
An Exquisite Location
The Fairmont Waterfront Hotel serves as the perfect location for the gala. The luxurious ballroom poses a fairytale setting in downtown Vancouver while the backdrop is accented by the harbour and night lights of the north shore. From the moment you arrive and are ushered into the hotel you will know that you’re in for a special evening.
Cocktails and a 3-Course Fine Dining Experience
The evening will begin with cocktails and mingling as your host guides you and your party towards a thoughtfully prepared 3-course dinner. The carefully selected menu will treat you to an delightful culinary experience and have you applauding our executive chef.
A Live Auction
Get in on the excitement of a live auction. On deck is an exclusive collection of rare and magnificent wines, inspired gifts, and vacations to whisk the winner (you!) and their companion away at leisure.
A Silent Auction
The gala also offers a fun silent auction. Exciting items will be on-display, available for perusing from your pad or on a showcase table at the beginning of the evening. The silent auction will include something for everyone, so no matter your tastes you are sure to depart the gala with a real treasure.
There Will be Ukuleles!
The gala will be an illustrious affair, complete with fine wine, dining, and business casual attire, but that doesn’t exclude good-natured fun on the ballroom stage. Is there an instrument that is more fun than a ukulele? Certainly not. Attendees will be treated to a magical acoustic showcase courtesy of the Langley Ukulele Ensemble so feel free to inconspicuously tuck an aloha shirt under your suit or ballroom gown. The entertainment doesn’t stop there. Your delightful evening is also accented by performances from other accomplished musicians from the Lower Mainland. The combined skill and grace of both will serenade you and your party. Prepare to be dazzled.
It’s for the Children
Most importantly, the evening is all about our communities’ children. Funds raised at the gala go directly to the Foundation’s causes which serve to inspire children to achieve their dreams and reach their full potential. These goals are achieved through school and community gardening, farm visits and other outdoor learning experiences. We thereby nurture our interconnectivity with one another, with our food, our land and our communities.
The gala would not be possible without the support of Natural Factors®, Clark Wilson LLP, Bulmer Investment Group, KPMG, Enzymotec Ltd., DSM Nutritional Products, Mathews Dinsdale & Clark LLP and you.
