Earth Day 2026 is an opportunity to inspire your students to creatively express how they feel about their home—Planet Earth. They can celebrate Earth Day through their imaginative drawings or art that focus on the natural world around them. These activities and related discussions, in the classroom or outdoors, will help them learn how interconnected every living thing is and how each person can make a difference in sustaining the only home we have. Capture and submit their drawings or photos below, and your school could win a microgrant to kickstart or boost your school garden! (Our contest details and entry form are also available in French.)

- Let nature inspire you. Start the day with a nature walk. Observe and marvel at the natural world. Look up, look down! See the big and the small! Come back refreshed and inspired, and draw what you saw.
- Recycle and upcycle. Use egg cartons, old magazines, and other ready to be discarded material and turn them into something beautiful to brighten your classroom.
- Research and share. Research a fascinating part of our earth’s natural recycling ability—such as the water cycle or decomposers including fungi and insects—then share what you learned in a drawing.
- Collaborate. Projects can be from a single student or a whole class. Work together and create a mural for your classroom that reflects the natural beauty that surrounds us every day and your commitment to caring for it.
- The sky is the limit! We look forward to learning about your creative and unique Earth Day projects!
