L'ann\u00e9e 2017 marque une p\u00e9riode passionnante pour l'agriculture et le jardinage urbains. Au cours de l'ann\u00e9e \u00e9coul\u00e9e, notre Fondation est rest\u00e9e \u00e0 l'\u00e9coute du terrain, prenant note d'id\u00e9es novatrices, tant nouvelles qu'\u00e9mergentes. Alors que les jardiniers et agriculteurs urbains se pr\u00e9parent pour la saison \u00e0 venir, nous avons pens\u00e9 prendre un moment pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer certains des nouveaux concepts captivants que nous avons d\u00e9couverts, dans l'espoir de vous inciter \u00e0 voir au-del\u00e0 des sentiers battus, des pots et des parcelles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>4 concepts innovateurs de jardins urbains pour vous inspirer et inspirer les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures<\/h2>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jardins communautaires \u00e0 arrosage automatique<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le nom se vend de lui-m\u00eame pour tout projet de jardinage ou d'agriculture urbaine qui manque de ressources humaines. Ce concept nous vient directement de notre propre arri\u00e8re-cour, \u00e0 North Vancouver. Les fondateurs d'un jardin communautaire local ont fait face \u00e0 un dilemme. Ils ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 que, bien que le climat de leur communaut\u00e9 soit propice \u00e0 la culture de nourriture toute l'ann\u00e9e, la majorit\u00e9 des produits consomm\u00e9s par les r\u00e9sidents sont import\u00e9s de l'\u00e9tranger. Dans le but de rendre la communaut\u00e9 plus autonome, ils ont con\u00e7u une s\u00e9rie de solutions d'agriculture urbaine. Ce faisant, ils ont exploit\u00e9 un nouveau concept qui propose des bacs de jardin en c\u00e8dre faits sur mesure, \u00e9quip\u00e9s de doublures \u00e9tanches de qualit\u00e9 alimentaire qui s\u00e9parent le jardin en deux : la terre est sur le dessus et l'eau est en dessous. Le concept imite la nappe phr\u00e9atique naturelle, permettant \u00e0 l'eau du r\u00e9servoir de remonter vers la terre arable, ce qui r\u00e9duit la fr\u00e9quence d'arrosage, passant d'une fois par jour \u00e0 une fois par semaine ou moins. Le concept a d\u00e9but\u00e9 avec un \u00e9tudiant de l'Universit\u00e9 Ryerson (Toronto) qui a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u201c En grandissant, je pensais que tout le monde avait acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des aliments frais \u201d. Un jour, il a appris que le territoire le plus au nord du Canada, le Nunavut, \u00e9tait \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 70 pour cent <a href=\"https:\/\/seewhatgrows.org\/fr\/link-household-food-insecurity-health-care-costs-canada\/\">en situation d'ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire<\/a>. Cette statistique est renversante, mais malheureusement assez courante dans certaines r\u00e9gions. De nombreuses communaut\u00e9s isol\u00e9es n'ont pas acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des aliments nutritifs, tant pour des raisons g\u00e9ographiques qu'\u00e9conomiques. Le co\u00fbt du transport des fruits et l\u00e9gumes vers l'Arctique canadien est extr\u00eamement \u00e9lev\u00e9. Comme solution, un d\u00f4me de serre en forme d'igloo a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit sur les terres du Nunavut. Cet espace cultive des produits auxquels la communaut\u00e9 n'aurait Autrement pas acc\u00e8s. Le Green Igloo a la capacit\u00e9 de cultiver 2 000 plantes, fournissant potentiellement des milliers de livres de produits nutritifs \u00e0 une fraction du co\u00fbt des importations. Le gigantesque igloo a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit pour supporter <strong>accumulation de neige pouvant atteindre sept pieds<\/strong> et le Territoire du Nord <strong>vents atteignant jusqu'\u00e0 110 miles par heure<\/strong>. Ce n'est pas un concept nouveau, mais il est certainement tr\u00e8s \u00e0 la mode. Nous avons abord\u00e9 ce concept l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, dans notre article <a href=\"https:\/\/seewhatgrows.org\/fr\/unique-urban-community-gardens-inspire-future-generations\/\">\u00e0 propos des fermes et jardins urbains uniques<\/a>. Le concept est en plein essor, des projets durables de ce type fleurissant sur les toits \u00e0 travers tout le Canada. Un domaine en particulier se trouve sous les feux de la rampe : les universit\u00e9s. Un projet \u00e9tudiant de ferme urbaine de 10 000 pieds carr\u00e9s \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 Ryerson a d\u00e9but\u00e9 il y a quelques ann\u00e9es, incitant d'autres universit\u00e9s \u00e0 faire de m\u00eame. L'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, l'OCADU (Ontario), l'Universit\u00e9 Trent (Ontario) et l'Universit\u00e9 de Saskatchewan ont fait des pas de g\u00e9ant avec leurs projets d'agriculture sur les toits. Par d\u00e9finition, il s'agit d'un syst\u00e8me d'aquaculture qui utilise les d\u00e9chets produits par les poissons et les crustac\u00e9s (\u00e9lev\u00e9s sur place) pour fournir des nutriments \u00e0 des plantes cultiv\u00e9es en hydroponie (sans sol). Fin 2016, la toute premi\u00e8re ferme aquaponique d'une banque alimentaire a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e au Canada (\u00e0 Mississauga, en Ontario). Produisant environ 10 000 portions de poissons et de laitue par an, ce projet pourrait bien ouvrir la voie \u00e0 un moyen durable de lutter contre l'ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire au Canada.
