La vision la plus novatrice du concept de for\u00eat nourrici\u00e8re \u00e0 ce jour est sur le point de s'\u00e9panouir. Un <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swaleny.org\" target=\"_blank\">for\u00eat nourrici\u00e8re flottante<\/a> arrive cet \u00e9t\u00e9 dans la Grosse Pomme. Le projet, connu sous le nom de Swale, est un effort collaboratif qui vise \u00e0 r\u00e9imaginer et \u00e0 remettre en question les id\u00e9es re\u00e7ues sur le lien entre une grande ville et l'environnement. Am\u00e9nag\u00e9e sur une barge flottante de 24 sur 9 m\u00e8tres, Swale abrite une for\u00eat nourrici\u00e8re (et flottante). R\u00e9parti sur deux toits \u00e0 New York, l'un \u00e0 Brooklyn et l'autre \u00e0 Long Island, le projet produit plus de 50 000 livres de produits biologiques par an. Depuis ses d\u00e9buts, il a fourni plus de 500 000 livres de fruits et l\u00e9gumes aux restaurants locaux, aux membres d'AMAP (agriculture soutenue par la communaut\u00e9) et directement au public par le biais des march\u00e9s de producteurs. De plus, Brooklyn Grande accueille des milliers de jeunes de New York \u00e0 chaque saison, proposant des visites \u00e9ducatives et des ateliers immersifs.
